The 1-minute presentation: Speak clearly, be an expert

  1. Mug shot - We need to know what they look like! 10 points
  2. First, Middle and Last name of your scientist. 5 points
  3. Birth Date and Year of Death or if still alive. 5 points
  4. What country were they born in and where did they do their work? 10 points
  5. What are they famous (wanted) for? 5-8 complete sentences, in your own words, for full credit. 30 points
  6. A fact that you found interesting OR a quote by that person. 10 points
  7. Print out or photocopy of your sources with info highlighted. 15 points
  8. Organization and neatness (If it helps print out your work) 10 points
  9. 1 minute presentation 5 points

Questions You SHOULD answer!!

  1. What branch of science does your scientist work in? What sub-branch?
  2. Where did they grow up? WHere did they go to school?
  3. Where did they work?
  4. What kind of work did they do?
  5. Are they know for something special? (An invention, experiment, theory, breakthrough)
  6. Any awards they received?
